Artificial Intelligence and Management
We are currently exploring the applications of Artificial Intelligence in management and economics. Our focus extends beyond studying the use of AI to include the management of artificial intelligence. In addition to our contributions through publications, thesis, and dissertation supervision, we have been significant in organizing annual Artificial Intelligence and Management workshops since 2019. Furthermore, we actively engage in the coordination of the Workshop on Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence
Data Science
Data Science is the interception of the following fields: Computer Science and IT (CS), Domain Knowledge (DK) and Mathematics and Statistics (MS).
In fact, it is possible to identify traditional research ={DK∩MS}, Software Development={CS∩DK}, Machine Learning = {CS∩ MS} and obviously (but simplifying). By intercepting all the initial fields we have Data Science = {DK∩MS∩CS}.
Our group is using data science related to pandemic diffusion, and also in the context of SDG adoption, e-learning and immigration. Our group is also involved in the proposal of a data science process (POST-DM).

Digital Organization and Economics
Digital technology is changing all our lives. Here we analyze mainly the business and economic context. Software started to be an essential tool in the context of accountancy. But it rapidly evolved to all the business processes. In this context, ERP appeared as the leading example of this approach. But now, some information systems (e.g. RPA) replace humans in some processes. Markets also became digital, using new technologies like blockchain. But incorporating digital technologies in the corporate context is not just digitalization the process; it needs a digital transformation process.
Gamification
Gamification consists of using game elements, in order to reach non-game purposes.
The most common triad, used in gamified experiences or products are points, badges and leaderboards. Those are widespread game elements because they are very effective and easy to apply, but those are just essential gamification elements.
